15, 2008 - 8th grade Volleyball team 2008 MSL League Champs
and Tournament Champions!
The 8th grade team defeated Newark Catholic in the MSL Championship
game by scores of 25-16 & 25-17. Leading scorers for the Bulldogs
were Kierra Hart with 16 points and Tiffany LaRue with 11. The Bulldogs
won the game by controlling the net and playing together as a team.

March 5, 2007 - Heath
MS Wrestlers qualify for State Tournament
Four members of this seasons Heath Middle School Wrestling Team advanced from the MS Districts to the annual Jr. High School Ohio Athletic Committee State Tournament being held at Cleveland State University in the Burt L. & Iris S. Wolstein Center. Mason Robinson, wrestling in the 120-pound weight class, was the lone district champion for Heath. Travis Drumm finished 2nd in the 150-pound class, Dom Barlow finished 3rd in the 98-pound weight class and Brian McDaniel also finished 3rd in the 134-pound weight class. Coach Drumm said between these four wrestlers they have won over 100 matches this year for the Heath MS team and maybe only lost 3 or 4 all season. They have wrestled at a higher level this year and are a special group very dedicated to being the best they can be. All four have been invited to wrestle for The Ohio Blast which is a team that represents Central and Southeast Ohio by wrestling in the National Middle School Duals held in Danville, Illinois this month. All four have also qualified for the Tournament of Champions being held in Columbus in April.. The annual TOC draws competition from the best wrestlers within Ohio and the surrounding states. In addition, Barlow, Robinson and Drumm have qualified to participate in the 2007 NHSCA National Open Wrestling Championships in Myrtle Beach, SC in June.
February 8, 2007 - Heath Middle School Wins MSL
The Heath MS Wrestling Team completed their season by winning their last tri meet against Bexley and Lakewood. Heath defeated Bexley 47-30 and received a forfeit from Lakewood making the score 60-0. The pair of wins earned the grappling bulldogs the MSL title. Winning both matches from Heath were: Brandon Bonifant 98 lb. Ryan Foster 104 lb. Mason Robinson 116 lb. Nate Hunt 122 lb. Kodie Hutchinson 128 lb. Brian McDaniel 134 lb. Trey Duncan 142 lb. Travis Drumm lb. Undefeated MSL individual weight class champions for Heath were: Mason Robinson 116 lb. Nate Hunt 122 lb. Brian McDaniel 134 lb. Travis Drumm 150 lb. This completes another successful season with the team finishing 1st place finish at Heath, 2nd place at Newark Catholic, 3rd at Licking Valley and 6th at Philo.

The Heath MS wrestling team finished in 2nd place at the annual Newark Catholic Cross Face Classic. Top 3 Final Team Standings in order was: New Lexington 1st, Heath 2nd, London 3rd. Earning 1st place honors for Heath were: Dom Barlow 98 # class. Mason Robinson 116 # class. Brian McDaniel 134 # class. Travis Drumm 150 # class. Nate Hunt finished in 2nd place in the 122 # class and Ryan Foster finished 3rd place in the 104 # class. Heath will defend its undefeated dual record at Licking Valley on Feb 1st in a MSL dual meet with
Bexley.

Heath MS Wrestling continues undeafeated dual season! Heath continued their undefeated dual meet record by recording two close wins in duals last night at Newark Catholic High School. Heath first defeated Newark Catholic 36-35 with a final match pin by Mason Robinson to remain undefeated in the MSL-Ohio league. Other winners against Newark Catholic were: Dom Barlow, Nate Hunt, Kodie Hutchinson, Brian McDaniel and Travis Drumm. In the second dual of the evening, Heath defeated Coshocton 41-36 with a final match pin by Nate Hunt to remain undefeated for the season. Other winners for Heath against Coshocton were: Tyler Moats-Keener, Dom Barlow, Ryan Foster, Mason Robinson, Brian McDaniel and Travis
Drumm.

Claymont 198, Springboro 198, DeSales 170, Teays Valley 160, Harrison Central 147,
Heath 128, Olentangy Liberty 108, Nelsonville York 87, Belpre 86, Centerburg 79... Licking Valley finished in 13th place with 74.5 points, Newark Catholic finished in 15th with 70 points and Lakewood in 28th with 34.5 points. Placing for Heath was: Dom Barlow 1st, Mason Robinson 1st, Brian McDaniel 2nd, Travis Drumm 3rd, Kodie Hutchinson 4th, and Nate Hunt 5th.

The Heath Middle School Wrestling Team began MSL competition with tough wins over Whitehall and Granville last night at Granville High School. Heath first defeated Whitehall 43-42 with a match-winning pin by Nate Hunt. Then, in the second duel against Granville, Heath won 42-36 by a match-winning pin by Brian McDaniel. Double winners for Heath were: Dom Barlow 98 class. Mason Robinson 116 class. Nate Hunt 122 class. Kodie Hutchinson 128 class. Brian McDaniel 134 class. Travis Drumm 150 class.

Heath Middle School Wrestling Team Wins Tournament
The Heath MS Wrestling team won its annual tournament hosted by Heath on Saturday January 6, 2007 in the middle school gym. The competition was close as Heath battled 9 teams to earn the top spot. The top 5 finishing teams were: 1. Heath 173.5. 2. Amanda Clearcreek 169.5. 3. Granville 166.5. 4. Lancaster 165.0. 5. Newark 157.0
Tournament Champions were: Dom Barlow 100 lb weight class. Mason Robinson 124 lb weight class. Brian McDaniel 136 lb weight class. Travis Drumm 152 lb weight class. 2nd place finishers: Nate Hunt 130 lb weight class. Jordon Bailey 162 lb weight class. 3rd place finishers: Trey Duncan 144 lb weight class. Kodie Hutchinson 130 lb weight class. 4th place: Tyler Moats-Keener 88 lb weight class. Heath will begin the MSL competition on Thursday, January 18th at Granville.

Heath Middle School Wrestlers Open Season with Pair Of Dual Wins
On Thursday Dec 7th the Heath Middle School Wrestling Team opened up the 2006-07 season with a pair of dual wins. Heath wrestled Fairbanks winning by a score of 57 to 6. Heath won every match by a pin in the route. Heath then defeated West Muskingum by a score of 48 to 36. Double winners for Heath were: Dom Barlow 98 lbs, Brandon Bonifant 104 lbs, Ryan Foster 110 lbs, Mason Robinson 122, Nate Hunt 128 lbs, Brian McDaniel 134 lbs, Jordon Bailey 142 lbs, Trey Duncan 150 lbs, and Travis Drumm 160 lb weight class. Heath will participate in the Licking Valley Invitational on December 16th.

February 4, 2006 - Newark Wrestling Dual
Heath 1st place
The Heath Middle School Wrestling took first places honors at the 2006 Newark Wrestling Dual Meet Invitational held
Saturday at the 5th street gym. In the tournament, Heath won three dual matches first beating Newark Catholic 54-10, then beating
Newark 60-12 setting up the championship dual with Mansfield Malabar. In the championship dual, Heath beat Mansfield 42-28 to earn the first place team award.
Placing first in their individual weight class for Heath were: Mason Robinson (98), Nate Hunt (104), Delane King (110), Kodie Hutchinson (116), Dave Hunt (122),
Travis Drumm (128) and Trace Johnson (150). Finishing in second place for Heath: Dom Barlow (92), Trey Duncan (134) and Alex Pettit (160) and finishing third was Zach Dunlap (142).
This completes the teams four tournament meets for the season with the team winning three tournaments and placing second in the forth. In addition, this brings
the Heath Middle School dual record to 14-1 on the season. The Middle School will wrap up their season on Thur with a Tri-match at Lakewood with Columbus Academy.

Heath won a pair of dual meets at Bexley last night defeating Licking Valley 66-24 and then host Bexley 60-12. This win pushes the middle school dual season record to 11-1 on the season. Double winners for Heath were: 92: Dom Barlow. 98: Mason Robin. 104: Nate Hunt. 110: Delane King. 116: Kodie Hutchinson. 122: Dave Hunt. 128: Travis Drumm. 134: Zach Dunlap. 150: Trace Johnson. 160: Alex Pettit. Heath will participate in the Newark Invitational on Saturday at the 5th street gym.

The Heath Middle School Wrestling Team won it’s first dual match of the evening defeating Granville 52-15 before losing a tough fought battle with Whitehall 48-42.
The Bulldogs beat Whitehall in head-to-head competition by winning six of eleven matches but Heath gave up 24 points in forfeits due to empty weight classes securing Whitehall the MSL victory. Double winners for Heath were:
92: Dom Barlow. 98: Mason Robinson. 110: Delane King.
122: Dave Hunt. 134: Zach Dunlap. 150: Trace Johnson. Heath will continue it’s season competing in the Annual Newark Catholic Cross-face Classic on Jan 28th.

Heath Middle School Remains Undefeated
The Heath Middle School Wrestling Team extended it’s undefeated season to 8-0 by defeating Newark and Gahanna Wednesday evening. Heath beat Newark 58-12 and then defeated Gahanna 57-22 to remain perfect in tri matches this season. Double winners for Heath were: 92:

Delane King. 122: Dave Hunt. 128: Travis Drumm. 142: Zach Dunlap.
160: Trace Johnson. Heath will continue in the MSL competition next Thursday 1/19 with a tri meet at Whitehall.

Ten teams competed at Heath High School Saturday in the annual Heath Middle School Invitational. The Heath Middle School Wrestling Team dominated the tournament competition by winning the Heath sponsored tournament.
Heath 1st at 235.5, Liberty Union 2nd at 172, Canal Winchester 3rd at 171, Utica 4th at 125.5, Granville 5th at 101, Johnstown 6th at 89, Lakewood 7th at 83.5, Newark Catholic 8th at 68, Fredericktown 9th at 66, Newark 10th at 63. Heath placed 14 wrestlers in the final championship round winning 1st place in 6 weight classes and finishing 2nd in 4 others.

Heath Middle School Wrestling Team Improves Dual Record to 6-0
The Heath MS Wrestling Team improved it’s season dual record to 6-0 with a thrashing of Fairbanks and New Albany. Heath beat Fairbanks 66-0 in non-league action and then won their opening MSL-Ohio match by beating New Albany 57-18. Double winners for Heath were: Dom Barlow, Mason Robinson, Nate Hunt, Brian McDaniel, Delane King, Dave Hunt, Travis Drumm, Trey Duncan, Zach Dunlap, Alex Pettit, and Trace Johnson. On Wednesday, the team travels to Newark to compete in a tri match with Newark and Gahanna. December 17, 2005

Heath placed 8 kids in the finals round. Heaths lone champion, David Hunt won the 128-pound weight class. Finishing in second place were: Dom Barlow 92, Mason Robinson 98, Nate Hunt 104, Delane King 110 and Brian McDaniel 116. Placing 3rd Trace Johnson 160 lb class and earning 4th place honors Travis Drumm in the 134-pound class. Everyone’s efforts earned a second place finish for the team.
