The Bulldogs played with much more confidence this second game. Great team effort! In the first half, Alex Vandine, scored in the 12th minute and in the 22nd minute with a penalty kick. JB Blackstone scored at the 34th minute.  In the second half, Stewart Rhodes scored in the first 12 seconds. With four goals on the lead the Bulldogs took plenty control of the field. Again in the 24th minute, Jacob Claypool scored another goal. Senior, Ryan Bame closed the score with a goal at the 31st minute. Christian Johns had 6 saves. JB Blackstone had 1 save.

Heath 2 Harvest Prep 1

Van Dine 1 goal. Fancher 1 goal. Jones 9 saves.  The Heath Boys Soccer Team started off their new season with a victory! In the beginning of the game things were not as they planned. After a break away Harvest Prep scored, making things even more difficult for the Bulldogs. In the second half, the boys didn't give up and came back at the 60 minute with their first goal. Alex Vandine scored the first goal assisted by JB Blackstone, 18 minutes later after a flick pass from Jake Smith to Kyle Fancher, gave the Bulldogs the game winning goal. Well done Dogs! Congratulations!

GIRLS SOCCER...

Division II Girls Soccer Sectional Semifinals
October 17, 2005
Heath 1 West Jefferson 2
McCosker 1 goal. Carson 12 saves.  Game one of the tournament would have made a great time to get your first win of the season, let alone the first of the program, but it wasn't meant to be. The Lady Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker to West Jefferson at home 2-1. Heath opened the scoring in the third minute with a goal by Amy McOsker. Aleigha Eggert evened the game at one with a goal in the 15th minute. Valarie Davis (WJ) scored on a broken play early in the second half to finish the scoring. Heath had several great chances to tie things up and go ahead, but none found the net. Everyone stepped up to play the last two games. I could not pick one MVP of the game because everyone played the game of their life. - Report by Brad Crumbacher (Heath Girls Soccer)
